Ministry In Christ Church History

In the fall of 2007 God called Bishop Wesley D. Miller Sr. to his Holy Ministry and began to empower and nurture him through his Holy Spirit. This calling compelled him to outreach in the hedges and highways spreading the wonderful word of God. Along this journey God caused other souls to join in the Ministry and it became known as Ministry In Christ Outreach Ministries. Bishop Miller was licensed and served as an Evangelist at Word In Season Outreach Ministries and was ordained by Trinity Evangelical Christian Ministries in 2008. As God caused increase, Ministry In Christ joined in with Miracle Tabernacle Family Worship Center where he served as an associate minister. Allowing God to use him, he answered God's call to pastor and Ministry In Christ Outreach Ministries began in his home with his family in September 2010. Over the course of a month, the Lord had increased the flock of the church and it moved into the Hope House Ministry building on Greenwood Drive in Portsmouth, Va. Along with Bishop Miller and Co-Pastor Cynthia Miller, the members of the church hit the streets telling about the word of God. In the summer of 2011, the board members began looking for a place. In September 2011, God blessed us to be able to hold church services for 7 years at 5921 Churchland Blvd, Portsmouth, VA. In 2018 the Lord blessed the church with a facility of our own (Current Location-3822 King St. Portsmouth, VA. Our mission is "To preach the gospel of Jesus Christ throughout all the land, assisting those who are in spiritual need." Our Bishop and members at Ministry In Christ Church are dedicated to God's service and have a love for God's ministry.
